Metallica are making a date with Austin, Texas this fall. The group, who recently announced they would hold the first public screening
of their 3D ‘Metallica Through the Never’ film at the Mill Valley Film
Festival near their home base of San Rafael, Calif., has just announced
the 3D flick will also be part of Austin’s Fantastic Fest on Sept. 25.
The Fantastic Fest is held each year at the Paramount Theater and the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Austin and is known as the largest genre film festival in the U.S., specializing in fantasy, sci-fi, action and horror films. Metallica’s new 3D adventure definitely fits a couple of those categories.
