In 1906, the first permit was granted to operate rental cars in finland. The first stamp has a ricture from Hanko that year: ladies in hats are being driven around in a rented Oldsmobile. ( Picture: Helsinki City Museum / Hanko Museum). In the right upper corner shows a 1929 Chevrolet to represent the 1920s and 30s. The picture shows the spirit of the times, the driver's outfit and the neatness of the car. ( Picture: Helsinki Taxi Drivers Association).
The days of soviet-made cars are represented on the stamp by a 1957 Pobeda. ( Picture: Vantaa Taxi Drivers Association). On the 4th stamp, Mercedes- Benz stands for a new age of taxis, although taxi ranks with a phone on a post are beginning to be a history. ( Picture: Finnish Taxi Association).
